Dr. Lekha Konda is a Senior Resident at Andhra Medical College, trained in high-volume cataract and anterior segment surgery, with a research focus on AI in eye care.
I’m an ophthalmic surgeon trained in cataract and anterior segment surgery, currently serving as Senior Resident at Andhra Medical College, one of India’s oldest teaching hospitals. My clinical work is shaped by high-volume public practice, where outcomes and efficiency matter in equal measure.
I completed a three-year ophthalmology residency at Narayana Medical College, Nellore, after earning my MBBS at Government Medical College, Anantapur. Alongside surgery, I’m certified in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare by Cleveland Clinic and am pursuing research on how AI can extend screening and diagnosis in eye care.
I’m seeking research fellowship and postdoctoral opportunities with ophthalmology faculty in the United States. If your lab works on surgical outcomes or AI in vision science, I’d welcome a conversation.
